This is a renovation/remodel/addition project in Historic Franklin, Tennessee. The addition is on the back of the house and includes a kitchen, office and covered porch, and complies with rigid Historic Overlay District regulations. Don Burke served as the Project Architect and Brian Welch was the contractor. A "before" view of the back of the house is shown below.
Here is the new kitchen addition. The island is a converted piece of furniture that can be moved if there is the necessity for a larger kitchen island. Below is a picture of the previous kitchen which was very quirky- but very cool in an odd rococo kind of way. Some of the hand painted items were incorporated into the new design as details such as insets in the cabinet doors in the new office addition, shown in the last photo.
